Gay Games 11 – Hong Kong 2023 – Count Down to November 3
It’s less than two months until the Gay Games in Hong Kong, and the team is PUMPED! As you will see from this bumper issue of the newsletter, we’re getting our second wind, where we offer the latest updates on various preparations for the events, including new venues, partners, offers, and introducing our official mascot, Sunny the Lion. Gay History is being made.
We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your amazing support and enthusiasm for Gay Games Hong Kong. Without you, this historic event would not be possible. You are the reason we are working hard to make this the most spectacular Gay Games ever.
We are proud to announce that we have secured fantastic venues for the Games, including Queen Elizabeth Stadium for the opening & closing ceremonies and gala concerts and AIA Vitality Park for the Festival Village. We have also partnered with our platinum sponsor, Marriott Bonvoy and other partners to offer exclusive deals and discounts for your stay in Hong Kong. Please check them out on our website and social media.
We are also thrilled to introduce you to our official mascot, Sunny the Lion. Sunny symbolises resilience, determination, and the ability to rise above difficulties. These qualities are known in Hong Kong as the “Lion Rock Spirit”; we can’t wait for you to come to Hong Kong and see Lion Rock with your own eyes. Sunny will join us at various events and activities leading up to and during the Games, so keep an eye out for him and give him a warm welcome!
As we enter the final stretch of our preparation, we need your continued support and participation more than ever. Please help us spread the word about the Gay Games in Hong Kong by sharing our social media posts, inviting your friends and family to join us, and registering for the Games if you haven’t already. We have a wide variety of sports, cultural events and parties to choose from, so there is something for everyone. Registration closes on 3 October, so grab a friend and register on our website!
This November, we will make history together and celebrate Unity in Diversity!
